GENERAL INFORMATION

What are the opening hours for Mercury Baypark?
The reception office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Venue hours may vary on weekdays and weekends depending on scheduled events.

Is parking available on-site or nearby?
Yes, Mercury Baypark offers ample free on-site parking. If you or your guests require overnight parking, approval from the team is required. Please note that overnight camping is strictly prohibited.

Is Mercury Baypark accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes, Mercury Baypark is fully accessible, with lifts providing access to all second-floor areas.

Is there an electric vehicle charging port at Mercury Baypark?
Yes, there are four electric vehicle charging stations available in Carpark A. You’ll need to bring your own charging cable, and the chargers operate on a pay-to-use basis. To access them, simply download the app listed on the charging port signage—everything you need to get set up will be there.

Where can I park my bike?
Bike stands are available at the main entrance of Mercury Arena.

Is there free Wi-Fi at Mercury Baypark?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue. All devices must accept the Terms & Conditions before connecting.

Is there a first aid room?
Yes, Mercury Baypark has a first aid room on-site. For medical assistance during an event, please contact a member of the Mercury Baypark team or visit reception. If you require safe syringe disposal facilities, please reach out to the team.

Can I bring my own food to Mercury Baypark?
Bay Catering holds the sole catering rights for food and beverages at Mercury Baypark. Commercial food and drinks are not permitted, except for non-commercial, individually packed food for personal consumption.

I have purchased a ticket for an event at Mercury Baypark. How can I check my seating?
For ticketed events, please refer to the event’s official ticketing provider and their event floor plan to locate your seating based on your ticket number.

Who do I contact about filming or photography at Mercury Baypark?
For filming or photography inquiries, please contact the Marketing Team at marketing@bayvenues.co.nz.

What types of events can be hosted at the venue?

Are there restrictions on event setup and decorations?
Mercury Baypark adheres to strict health and safety guidelines. Your designated Event Planner will assist you with what is permitted and what is not at the venue. Open flames, glitter, party string, and helium balloons are not allowed unless you have written permission from the venue.

Do you have preferred suppliers for entertainment, florals, or event styling?
For recommendations, please reach out to your designated Event Planner.

What is the event process at Mercury Baypark?
Initial Planning & Booking – You will first work with our Event Sales team to determine the best space for your event, discuss pricing, and complete the venue hire agreement.

Confirmation – Once a signed contract is returned and the deposit is paid, you will be introduced to your designated event planner.

Event Planning – Your event planner will help finalise timings, catering, audio-visual requirements, floorplans, and other event details, all of which must be locked in 10 working days before the event.

Event Delivery – You will then be introduced to our Event Delivery team, who will be fully briefed on your event. They specialise in bringing your event to life on the day and will be there to support you from a venue operations standpoint.

If I hire out a venue space at Mercury Baypark, do I get exclusive use of the venue?
As Mercury Baypark is a multi-venue space, you will only have exclusive use of the spaces (e.g., Lion Foundation Centre, Court 7, etc.) that have been booked and paid for in the venue hire agreement. Common areas such as arena foyers, parking spaces, corridors, toilets, etc., remain accessible to others unless exclusively booked, contracted, and paid for by the event promoter.

I am holding an event at Mercury Baypark, when do all event details need to be locked in?
All event details, including audio visual, floorplans, catering, and the runsheet, etc must be locked in 10 working days before the event. This ensures everything is locked in, prepared and ready for a smooth event experience.

AUDIO VISUAL AND TECHNICAL SERVICES

Can I bring my own AV supplier, or do I have to use Bay Audio Visual?
Bay Audio Visual is the official technical provider for all events at Mercury Baypark. Please speak with your designated event planner, who can connect you with the Bay AV team.

What kind of AV equipment is available on-site?
AV equipment varies by venue space. Please talk to your event planner to discuss what is available for your specific event.

Do you offer technical support during events?
Yes. Bay AV can provide technical support for events, which must be booked in advance and is subject to additional costs.
